Early Life: A Foundation of Resilience
Jesse’s childhood was far from easy. Raised by a single mother after his father left when he was just seven, he grew up in a household marked by financial struggles and emotional hardship. His father, battling alcoholism, moved away, leaving little contact between them.
“Your exterior is all hard, and first impressions are never really a good reflection of who I actually am.”
This tough upbringing shaped Jesse’s resilience but also built emotional walls. He admits that his guarded nature often made it difficult for people to truly know him – a trait that would later affect his professional life.
At 18, just as he finished high school, Jesse faced another devastating blow: his father passed away from bone cancer. A week later, his mother was diagnosed with liver cancer.
